COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
RAMPOENG
(Pekerjaan Ringan dan Dinamis Online)
Draft version 1.0 — Last updated: [date to be filled in]
Table of Contents
1. Purpose and Spirit of These Guidelines
Rampoeng is a platform that brings together Posters (people who need help with a Job) and Workers (people who carry it out). To keep the Platform safe, trustworthy, and useful for everyone, every User is expected to uphold three basic values:
- Mutual respect — communicate and act politely, honestly, and professionally, without discrimination.
- Safe and lawful — only post and take on Jobs that are legal and that do not endanger anyone.
- Responsibility — see agreements through in good faith, and take responsibility for your own safety and that of others.
These Guidelines set out the conduct expected of you, the kinds of Jobs and content that are prohibited, and the consequences of breaching them. By using the Platform, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
2. General Principles of User Conduct
All Users, whether acting as a Poster or as a Worker, must:
- Provide accurate and current information in their profile, Job descriptions, offers, and communications.
- Communicate politely and respectfully through the chat feature; not harass, intimidate, or threaten.
- Respect other Users' privacy; not collect, distribute, or misuse another person's personal data beyond what carrying out the Job requires.
- Use their own account; not lend, rent out, or transfer a verified account to anyone else.
- Settle payments through the Platform's official mechanism (escrow), and not invite others to transact outside the Platform in order to avoid commission or protections.
- Keep communication inside the Platform throughout the agreement, so that there is a record to refer to should a dispute arise.
3. Role-Specific Guidelines
3.1 For Posters
- Write an accurate and honest Job description — including the type of work, location, timing, number of people, and pay range.
- Provide a reasonable working environment that is not unreasonably hazardous, particularly for physical or on-site Jobs.
- Do not ask a Worker to do anything outside the agreed scope of the Job, especially anything risky, illegal, or demeaning.
- Respect the Worker's time and effort; confirm completion reasonably and promptly.
3.2 For Workers
- Only take on Jobs that genuinely match your ability, skills, and any permits you hold.
- For Jobs requiring particular professional expertise or licences (for example electrical, medical, or legal work), make sure you actually qualify.
- Carry out the Job with reasonable care, and look after the property and safety at the Poster's location.
- Tell the Poster as soon as possible if you are unable to complete a Job you have agreed to.
4. Prohibited Job Categories and Content
Jobs or content falling within the following categories are PROHIBITED from being posted, taken on, or facilitated through the Platform. The system may automatically reject, hide, or hold Jobs and content that appear to breach these rules, and offending accounts may be sanctioned under Section 7. This list is not exhaustive — the spirit behind each prohibition still applies even where a specific form of it is not listed.
4.1 Criminal and Unlawful Activity
- Any criminal offence, or anything that facilitates one: theft, fraud, extortion, robbery, violence, or threats.
- Trading in or delivering illegal goods and services: narcotics, controlled substances, illegal firearms or bladed weapons, smuggled goods, counterfeit or pirated items.
- Services that help evade or break the law (for example forging documents, sitting official exams or certifications on someone's behalf, manipulating official records).
4.2 Mass Mobilisation and Unlawful Political Activity
This category is set out explicitly because it carries a high risk to public safety and to the Platform's legal standing:
- Mobilising, recruiting, or paying participants for demonstrations or protests, whether in support of or against any party.
- Gathering crowds for intimidation, to pressure a particular party, or to disturb public order.
- Mobilising people to unlawfully influence legal proceedings, elections, or state activities (for example paying people to attend a hearing, or vote manipulation).
- Organised distribution of propaganda, hate speech, or provocation on ethnic, religious, racial, or intergroup lines through Jobs.
4.3 Sexual Content and Services
- Prostitution, “companionship” services leading to sexual services, or any form of sexual exploitation.
- Producing, distributing, or requesting pornographic content.
- Any form of sexual harassment, whether in communication or in carrying out a Job.
4.4 Exploitation and Protection of Vulnerable Groups
- Employing minors, or Jobs that breach child labour protections.
- Jobs that exploit, neglect, or endanger children, older people, people with disabilities, or other vulnerable groups.
- Human trafficking or forced labour in any form.
4.5 Prohibited Financial Activity
- Gambling, or services connected with gambling.
- Debt collection by intimidation, violence, or other unlawful means (illegal debt collectors).
- Money laundering, fictitious transactions, or disguising the source of funds through Jobs.
- Pyramid schemes, money games, or fraudulent investments.
4.6 Regulated Professions Without a Licence
- Offering services that require an official licence or permit (medical, legal, psychological, financial or tax, and the like) without the proper qualification or authorisation.
Note: Jobs in regulated fields are not automatically prohibited, but may require additional verification and/or review before going live, according to their Risk Level classification.
4.7 Platform Security and System Integrity
- Creating duplicate or fake accounts, falsifying identity, or manipulating the verification, rating, or matching systems.
- Lending, renting out, or selling accounts.
- Unauthorised access, data scraping, reverse engineering, or distributing malicious software.
- Uploading content that infringes another party's intellectual property rights.
4.8 Prohibited Communication Content
- Hate speech, content targeting ethnicity, religion, race, or social group, insults, or discrimination.
- Spam, promotion unrelated to a Job, or diverting transactions off the Platform.
- Sharing another person's personal data without permission (doxing).
5. Safety and Shared Vigilance
Rampoeng provides features to help keep you safe — tiered identity verification, Risk Level classification, ratings and reviews, chat history, and an Emergency Feature for on-site Jobs. These are aids, however, not guarantees. Responsibility for your own safety remains with you. We encourage you to:
- Check other Users' profiles, ratings, and reviews before agreeing to a Job.
- Pay attention to the Risk Level warnings the Platform displays.
- For on-site Jobs: choose a sensible time, tell someone you trust about your plans, and know where the Emergency Feature is.
- Keep communication and payment inside the Platform.
- Not share sensitive personal information (for example a personal bank account for payment outside the Platform, or identity documents) beyond what is necessary.
In an emergency that threatens life, contact the police or official emergency services immediately — the Platform's Emergency Feature is not a substitute for them.
6. Reporting Breaches
If you come across a Job, content, or behaviour that breaches these Guidelines, report it through the reporting feature in the Platform (on the Job page, a profile, a chat, or a review). Reports are handled confidentially. We encourage honest reports made in good faith; misusing the reporting feature (for example reporting a valid negative review simply because you dislike it, or mass-reporting to bring down another User) is itself a breach of these Guidelines.
If you experience or witness a criminal offence, report it to the police or the competent law enforcement authorities as well as to Us.
7. Enforcement and Consequences
We use a combination of automated moderation (including artificial intelligence), manual review, continuous monitoring, and community reports to enforce these Guidelines. The action We take depends on the nature and severity of the breach, and on the User's history:
Level
Example breach
Possible consequences
Minor
Inaccurate Job description, impolite communication, light spam
Warning, content hidden or removed, request to revise
Moderate
Repeated breaches, attempts to transact off-Platform, minor rating manipulation
Restricted access to features, lowered reputation score, temporary suspension
Severe
Prohibited categories in Section 4 (criminal, unlawful mass mobilisation, sexual, exploitative), fraud, account sharing
Permanent suspension or termination of the account, prevention of re-entry, referral to the authorities where necessary
For severe breaches, We may deactivate an account immediately without prior warning, hold funds that are in progress in line with the dispute resolution mechanism, and cooperate with law enforcement on lawful request. Rampoeng is not responsible for criminal acts committed by one User against another, as set out in the Terms & Conditions — these Guidelines aim to reduce risk, not to guarantee its absence.
Users whose accounts are suspended or terminated for a severe breach are prohibited from creating a new account to evade the sanction; such attempts will be detected through continuous monitoring and met with further action.
8. Changes to These Guidelines and Right of Appeal
We may update these Guidelines from time to time, particularly as new patterns of misuse emerge. Significant changes will be announced through the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
If you believe a moderation action or sanction against your account was mistaken, you may appeal through the official support channels provided. We will review appeals in good faith on the basis of the information available. The outcome of that review is final as far as the Platform is concerned, without prejudice to your right to pursue legal remedies under applicable law.
For questions about these Guidelines, contact Us through the official support channels available in the Platform.
